DMCA Takedown Requests
MOBS — My Online Bookshelf respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”). If you believe that material available on our Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to our Designated Agent using the process below.
1. Filing a Copyright Infringement Notice
To be effective, your written notice must include substantially all of the following (see 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (such as a URL or screenshot) for us to locate it;
- Your contact information, including name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good‑faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

3. Counter‑Notification
If you believe your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter‑notification to our Designated Agent that includes substantially all of the following (see 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)):
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good‑faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, mailing address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the U.S., the district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
If we receive a valid counter‑notification, we may restore the removed material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the activity.
4. Repeat Infringers
We reserve the right to remove content and, in appropriate circumstances, to suspend or terminate accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
